Get it right first time
- 1Export a high-resolution PDF rather than a screenshot or a compressed image, resolution is the single biggest factor in print sharpness.
- 2Embed fonts in the PDF so headings and labels print as designed.
- 3For photographs, avoid images that have been resized upward from a small original.
- 4If only a few pages carry colour, mark those pages instead of setting the whole document to colour.

Yes. You can print everything in colour, everything in black and white, or mark only the pages that need colour, which usually costs less than setting a long report to full colour.
Not exactly. Screens emit light while paper reflects it, and shops use different printers, inks and paper. The result is a close representation rather than an exact match. Where colour is critical, print one test copy first.
Every shop sets its own colour rate, shown separately from its black-and-white rate. Configure your document, compare the available shops, and review the complete total before paying.
